Molem Ma Belle Music: Freevoices

FREEVOICES (Moona x OMG x Eve Crazy x Sister Lb x DJ Nina)

You didn’t know this yet: when Hip-Hop was founded in The Bronx in the early 70s, Senegal was one of the first countries to jump on the style. Soon, there was an underground scene where Senegalese producers, DJs, rappers, graffiti- and other artists gave hip-hop their own African touch : the Senegalese genre 'Galsen' was born ...

This year, Galsen turns 30 years old! A unique and inspiring moment for Molem Ma Belle to organize a concert full of Senegalese female hip-hop, in association with Samira Hmouda, Lezarts Urbains and Africulturban.

Freevoices started as a project to promote diversity and gender in Hip-Hop, but quickly grew into a fully fledged artistic and feminine movement. Rappers Moona, OMG, Eve Crazy, Sister Lb and DJ Nina are at the forefront of this wonderful initiative, demanding a better future for Senegal and its women, using Hip Hop as a universal language

Lidy Fa

Schooled classically, Lidy Fa combines her songwriter skills with a deep love for soul, R&B, deep house and urban. The result? Think Stromae with a higher pitched voice and heavy subs.

Si-G

A difficult school past, uncertainty and a beautiful yet anything but luxurious youth could not stop Si-G from her big dream: to become a rapper. The young rapper almost broke the internet with her first videoclip, mentored by Omar-G from STIKSTOF, aka Zwangere Guy. She's the living proof that talent knows no age boundaries.
