RED SNAPPER

RED SNAPPER

RED SNAPPER are a British instrumental band founded in London in 1993 by Ali Friend (double bass), Richard Thair (drums), and David Ayers (guitar). The three core members are also joined by various guest musicians and vocalists on different records. Stylistically, Red Snapper’s music contains elements of jazz, funk, jungle, trip-hop, hip-hop and breakbeat, as well as references to early psychedelic and progressive rock. In early 2002, Red Snapper announced its dissolution. But in 2007, they reformed! Their new album 'KEY' will be released the 18th of april.

In may 2008, Herbert “Herb Cells da mic jagga” Celis formed FROWN-I-BROWN. Frown-I-Brown means nothing more than "frowned eyebrows" and this phenomenon will appear most of the time on the forehead of many spectators when the emcee drops his lyrics. Expect some acoustic/electric jazzy hiphop with no samples but with a threesome of jazzmusicians who put down some steady grooves with a nice jazzrocktexture.
