Back in 1999 Mando’s softly-spoken, loud-singing Björn Dixgård together with the nervy, charismatic lead singer Gustaf Norén, the energy packed drummer Samuel Giers and showman bassist Carl Johan Fogelklou – formed Mando Diao. The new band set about playing all seven local clubs and the local petrol stations in their home town and when they’d done that about 10 times over they were ready to explode out of Borlange and onto the Stockholm rock scene, and so they did.

Before going solo under the name Arno, he played in the important groups Tjens Couter and TC Matic.

Based out of Baltimore (us), LOWER DENS is one of many side projects from singer/songwriter Jana Hunter. Warming guitar fuzz, bass waves, Jana Hunter's voice, and insistent drum throbs are the core components of Baltimore's Lower Dens. Hunter, sometimes known for intimate, ghost-heavy weird-fi, is now writing and playing with a group that might get filed as new wave, or drone pop, or post-punk. With due deference to her solo work, we're very glad. Expect a new release in april on Domino Records.

His most famous song: “La Mia Storia Tra Le Dita" was recorded in Spanish with an awesome translation where poetry seems to be meant to find the perfect match, whose title: “Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos” has been sang all along the Americas. His voice has a similar pitch to Franco de Vita, that’s the reason why people get both artists mixed-up.
